High Compression N/A SOHC VTEC D16Z6
13.0:1 compression D16Z6 on pump gas. The goal here is DOHC VTEC B-Series swap level performance out of a budget D16 build. We will be performing several different intake and header tests with this motor, with dyno charts for all to see.
The above dyno chart shows powerband comparison with a tuned B16A2 with GSR cams/J's racing CF intake/Greddy header/2.25" exhaust on the same dyno.
Red line is Natural D, Green line is B16A2. Not bad, huh? She lights the tires from a roll in 1st and halfway through 2nd gear!

D16Y8 Turbo Vitara race motor - 471whp/356tq @ 29psi on stock sleeves!
This is the trusty vitara pistoned sohc that's been in our race car for the last 2 years. We just ran it again with a tight ratio trans w/LSD to try and eclipse our previous best time of 10.8@ 133mph.
Current Best Times: 10.4 @ 138mph
10.5 @ 139mph
Then new custom length I-beam rods will be going in for testing, which will raise compression by ~1 full point. We hope to see a 15-30whp increase with no other changes to the setup! Then back to the track for 1/4 mile results!
2.0L Sleeved GSR Turbo - New race motor!
